The Lidsing Garden Community is allocated for development under Policy LPRSP4(B) of the Maidstone Borough Council (MBC) Local Plan Review (LPR) 2021-2038, which was adopted in March 2024. The below provides a timeline of the Maidstone LPR, detailing the allocation of the Lidsing Garden Community:

• December 2020 - January 2021: Regulation 18b ‘Preferred Approaches’ Consultation

• October 2021 - December 2021: Regulation 19 Draft Submission Consultation

• 31st March 2022: Submission of the LPR to the Secretary of State for examination

• 8th March 2024: Conclusion of plan examination with the Inspector’s report finding the plan to be sound.

• 20th March 2024: Adoption of the MBC Local Plan Review 2021-2038.
